“In the spirit of transparency, I’ve paid Jordan $14,000, Cally $8,000, Max $300 (that he tried to refuse), and have personally invested $45,000 of my firefighting money since 2010. We’ve had great support from family, local foundations and, of course, our Kickstarter tribe. For what we’ve accomplished and how little we’ve spent, I challenge any film crew in the world traveling to Alaska, Canada, Germany, Norway and Sweden over the course of four years to come even close. Any donations or proceeds from ticket sales, screening events, stickers, Non-stop dogwear products or pending distribution deals are already earmarked to pay off the debt for DP1 and begin the process of sustainably funding the Dog Power Movie Series. Your help is not just “appreciated” — it’s how we got here in the first place. It’s how we are able to be instructive and emotional while sharing with the world the untold story of modern dog-powered sports. Thank you. Thank you so very much.” – Kale Casey, DP1 Produce & Co-Director[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
“Wow! Just watched the movie and it is absolutely FANTASTIC! Well done to you and your team for making such wonderful movie!” – Robert Pidgeon
“What a beautiful, gracious, and generous film! Thank you for making such a wonderful work. I love the fact that you will not only educate people about dog sports, but you will help Taina. The powerful speed of the Eurohounds and Greysters is stunning!” – Mariel Versluis from the UK
“We watched DP1 at summer mushing camp in Norway and it was amazing!!! Thank you so much for making it!” – Asa
“Awesome… Goose bumps are back and there is only one thing I wanna do…. go run my dogs!!!! Buzzing and can’t wait for this winter.” – Vicki P UK
“I’ve had people wonder why I love photographing dog sport events. Even the DP1 trailer shows a glimpse of why. The love and bond that you get to witness between the racer and their dogs is just magical, and to capture that feeling and emotion in a photo is the best thing in the world.” – Desiree Nickerson from Canada
“I have no words, fantastic.” – Per Larsson
We purchased a low-budget yet innovative production kit that was designed specifically for this project. It is simple, compact and flexible to allow us to film in the high-energy race environment without disturbing dogs and mushers.
We need your help to complete funding for DP1 and to grow a community of support around and achieve sustainable funding for DP2. With the Dog Power Movie Series, our goal is to show the world that this ultimate manifestation of the human-animal bond is within the reach of everyone.
You don’t need fancy equipment, fancy dogs, or snow. You need your dog, your dog needs a harness, and you need you.
